Program - November
2008 GalaxE.Solutions®, Inc., an industry leader in designing and

the reach of the Workforce Outsource Services (WOS) program. WOS
is designed around a researched solution to address the effects
that poverty, social isolation, and stress have on inner-city
adults. WOS hires, formally educates and trains low income
ethnic employees from local communities, and provides "ladders
of ascent" to its minority employees by creating growth into
management and ownership of the business. Students in the
program attend an intensive 16 month program at Columbia
University in New York and Rutgers University in Newark, where
they receive the skills necessary to succeed in a corporate
environment. The program covers technical, as well as cognitive,
skills.
Presently, the program supports class sizes of 10 - 15 students,
but, with the help of GalaxE, will be expanding to class sizes
of up to 30. The WOS program accepts donations, with every
dollar donated helping a young man or woman climb further up the

GalaxE.Solutions® Executive Appointed to State
Interagency Coordinating Council - August 2008 New Jersey
Governor Jon S. Corzine appointed GalaxE.Solutions, Inc.'s
General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer, Steven A. Weiss, to
the State Interagency Coordinating Council. The Council, which
is made up entirely of special appointees, serves as an advisory
board to the Department of Health and Senior Services as the
state lead agency for the Early Intervention System. The New
Jersey Early Intervention System (NJEIS), under the Division of
Family Health Services, implements New Jersey's statewide system
of services for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with
developmental delays or disabilities, and their families.
In his new role, Steve will help
direct the actions of the NJEIS, whose mission is to enhance the
capacity of families to meet the developmental and
health-related needs of children birth to age three who have
delays or disabilities by providing quality services and support

Training Program - June 2008 As part of its continued leadership role in new Information
Technology initiatives, GalaxE.Solutions®, Inc., launched its
first COBOL Training Program in early June. GalaxE started this
training program to teach students the basics of one of the
oldest programming languages, making a critical contribution to
the related educational initiatives and body of knowledge in the
United States. COBOL, which stands for COmmon Business-Oriented
Language, defines its primary domain in business, finance and
administrative systems for companies and governments. As a
result, GalaxE developed this new course to educate students on

days a week and will span a total of three months.

needs, GalaxE.Solutions® deployed its Service Oriented

its undocumented legacy planning applications deployed in a
production system. Using GalaxE’s IV&V, current and target
states of the application were established. Documentation on all
applications and databases was delivered at the end of the

Leading insurance company engages GalaxE.Solutions® to provide
application development services to create a new Loss Prevention
Engineering system – July 2007 GalaxE.Solutions® successfully concluded the initial phase of a
three phase project to design and develop a new loss prevention
engineering system. GalaxE worked directly with the business
users to define the new system from the ground up. The new
system will allow the client’s underwriters to perform automated
analysis, collection and reporting duties from the field
location, while automatically synchronizing data through the
company network. The design phase (Phase II) of the project is
scheduled to begin in July with the system targeted for
production use in early 2008.

mission critical legacy application – March 2007 Using GalaxE.Solutions®’ Independent Verification and Validation
(IV&V) methodology at a Fortune 100 pharmacy benefit management
company enabled seamless management and support of a mission
critical legacy application targeted for future replatforming.
The large and unwieldy application leveraged many legacy
languages, including Visual BASIC, COM, DCOM and C++. Once this
application was thoroughly studied, GalaxE created detailed
functional and technical specification documents, use cases,
business flows, etc., along with recommendations for performance
improvements. By utilizing GalaxE’s offshore capabilities, costs
were kept low and turnaround time improved. GalaxE’s success in
this initiative has resulted in other legacy applications being
proactively identified for IV&V support and migration.
